Yale Students Join Protest as Crowd Chants Resistance Is Justified

New Haven, Connecticut — On April 23, a video shared by X user Rabbi E. Poupko showed Yale University students protesting in support of Palestinians amidst the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The protesters were seen chanting “resistance is justified” while waving Palestinian flags. The demonstration appeared to be a show of solidarity with Palestinians and opposition to Israeli policies in the region.

Rabbi Poupko, who filmed the video, addressed his post to Batya Kline, expressing concern over the rhetoric being expressed by the crowd. He also highlighted the tense situation when an individual in the protest followed him and pressed their forehead against his, which Rabbi Poupko claimed violated multiple laws.

Despite the presence of New Haven Police, no action was taken, according to Rabbi Poupko. The protest adds to the ongoing series of demonstrations related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which have sparked debate and division on campuses worldwide.
