Woman Pulled From Ocean And Revived After Being Found Unresponsive In Florida

New Smyrna Beach, USA – A 68-year-old woman was rescued and revived after being found unresponsive in the ocean during a swimmer-in-distress incident on the morning of June 6.

At around 10:15 a.m., deputies were alerted after beachgoers reported a swimmer in trouble in the water. Deputy Gourley quickly located the woman floating face down in the ocean and brought her back to shore.

The woman had no pulse and was unresponsive when she was pulled from the water. Deputy Gourley and Deputy Manhart immediately began CPR at the scene.

Their efforts successfully restored the woman’s condition, and she was revived before additional emergency personnel arrived.

Beach Safety teams later reached the scene and continued life-saving treatment before the woman was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Authorities highlighted the importance of quick action by beachgoers who alerted deputies, noting that their response helped enable the rescue.

Officials also confirmed that life-saving awards are expected to be given to the deputies involved for their actions during the incident.
