Monterey County, California – Early July 21 morning, firefighters identified a slopover on the Williams Fire that increased in intensity and burned outside the established containment line.

The slopover is currently estimated at approximately 25 acres.

Firefighters remain on scene, working to suppress the fire, strengthen containment lines, and bring the slopover under control.
