Ischia, Italy – Firefighters battled a wildfire in Serrara Fontana on Ischia Island, working through the night to control the flames.

Eight teams have been engaged since late yesterday afternoon in extinguishing the fire and carrying out cleanup operations.

The blaze approached some homes, but no one was injured or directly affected.

Operations continue to fully secure the area and eliminate remaining hotspots.
