La Utrera / Valdesamario, León, Spain – Thick columns of gray and white smoke towered above forested hills as flames burned across ridges and slopes.

Aerial footage shows active fire lines spreading through pine-covered terrain, with dirt tracks winding between the trees. A closer view captures flames advancing beneath heavy smoke plumes.

The wildfire began on the afternoon of July 28, 2026, and was quickly raised to Potential Gravity Index level 2.

The blaze forced evacuations in La Utrera and La Velilla, while nearby localities were placed under confinement measures.

BRIF teams from Tineo, Tabuyo and Laza joined the firefighting operation alongside regional resources.
