The wildfire began on the afternoon of July 28, 2026, and was quickly raised to Potential Gravity Index level 2.
The blaze forced evacuations in La Utrera and La Velilla, while nearby localities were placed under confinement measures.
BRIF teams from Tineo, Tabuyo and Laza joined the firefighting operation alongside regional resources.
