Wild Brown Bears Play At Restored Mountain Water Point In Spain

Castilla y León, Spain – Trail camera footage recorded on April 22, 2026 shows a mother brown bear and her cub playing and interacting at a restored stone drinking water point in a wooded area.

The recording, timestamped at around 7:40 p.m., shows the adult bear resting and drinking beside a large concrete water structure. The cub approaches from the grassy foreground, climbs onto the structure using an amphibian ramp, and joins its mother.

Both bears move around the water point, drinking, exploring, and playing together in the late afternoon light, surrounded by trees and dense green undergrowth.

The water points had been repaired four months earlier and include ramps designed for amphibians such as frogs and other small wildlife.

The accompanying description states that the restored water sources are now used not only by livestock but also by wild bears, showing how wildlife has adapted to the improvements made to access water in the area.
