Spokane Valley, Washington – Spokane Valley Fire filmed video showing the dangerous conditions crews faced while battling the Old Trails Fire.
The footage shows a nighttime residential scene with intense orange flames and thick smoke. Powerful streams of water from fire hoses arc high into the fire and smoke near a house, while trash bins and equipment sit on the driveway in the foreground.
The video was captured by SVFD Engine 9 as firefighters worked to protect homes and prevent further spread of the blaze.
The Old Trails Fire was part of the Spokane Complex that began August 1, 2026. The fire burned thousands of acres, destroyed hundreds of structures, and forced widespread evacuations.
