Weymouth, Dorset – A powerful lightning storm unleashed repeated flashes across the night sky in Weymouth, Dorset, during the evening of May 27, 2026, in a dramatic scene captured on video by X user Nick Bratt.

Bright white and purple lightning bolts repeatedly forked through the darkness, lighting up nearby houses, rooftops, and trees as heavy rain poured down over the area.

The footage, filmed from inside or near a house, captured the intense electrical storm in real time as the sky erupted with continuous flashes during the thunderstorm.

The video was posted with the caption, “Have a look at this outside my house just now,” and quickly drew attention online as one of the clearest recordings of the severe storm that moved through parts of Dorset that night.
