Gulf Of Oman – Audio from a sailor aboard USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) and footage from an embarked helicopter show U.S. Navy operations over the Gulf of Oman as a merchant vessel is diverted while enforcement actions continue against ships entering or leaving Iranian ports.
The guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) is shown directing a merchant vessel to turn around and return to an Iranian port during enforcement activity carried out on April 17.
The video also captures aerial views from the ship’s helicopter operating above the Gulf, while coordination continues between naval units engaged in the blockade.
Since the start of the operation, 19 ships have followed instructions from U.S. forces and turned back toward Iran.
According to the report, zero vessels have managed to evade U.S. forces during the ongoing blockade.
