Washington, D.C., USA – A U.S. precision strike successfully destroyed an Iranian attack drone in mid-air, according to footage released on April 5, 2026.

The black-and-white infrared video, marked “UNCLASSIFIED,” shows targeting crosshairs locking onto the drone, visible as a bright, cross-shaped object. A munition impacts the drone, producing a brilliant white flash followed by a massive explosion. Smoke and debris rapidly expand as the drone is completely destroyed.

The U.S. Central Command said the strike targeted drones used by the Iranian regime to threaten Americans and indiscriminately target civilians in neighboring countries.

The short, 12-second clip highlights the effectiveness of the strike and the speed with which U.S. forces neutralized the airborne threat.
