U.S. Completes 13th Straight Night Of Strikes On Iranian Military Targets

Iran – U.S. Central Command forces completed the 13th consecutive night of strikes against Iran at 9 p.m. ET on July 23.

The operation targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities. According to the update, the strikes were carried out to further reduce the threat Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.

The international waterway remains open to maritime traffic despite recent attacks by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Commercial vessels continue to move through the strait freely with support from the U.S. military.

The update also stated that more than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently operating throughout the Middle East.
