U.S. Carrier Strike Group Enforces Blockade As Naval Forces Patrol Gulf Of Oman

Arabian Sea – Thousands of U.S. service members are carrying out a maritime blockade operation involving ships entering and leaving Iranian ports, as naval forces maintain patrols across the region.

The mission includes around 5,000 sailors and Marines from the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, which is actively executing operations connected to restricting maritime traffic linked to Iranian ports.

The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) has been conducting flight operations in the Arabian Sea as part of the ongoing deployment supporting the wider mission.

U.S. naval vessels are also patrolling the Gulf of Oman while CENTCOM continues enforcement of the blockade measures targeting vessels entering and departing Iranian ports.

Officials state that U.S. forces remain present, alert, and prepared to ensure compliance with the operation as maritime activity is closely monitored across the region.
