Iceland – Four Belgian Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft and a U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron flew in formation over Iceland on Aug. 22, 2026.

The flight took place during Northern Viking 26, which strengthens interoperability and force readiness among the U.S., Iceland and Allied nations.

The exercise enables multi-domain command and control of joint and coalition forces defending Iceland and safeguarding sea lines of communication in the Greenland-Iceland-United Kingdom gap.
