Truckee Highway Patrol Dragging Overturned Jeep SUV On Its Side Across Slick Highway

Truckee, California, USA – A white Jeep SUV that had overturned on its side was dragged along a wet and slick highway during a California Highway Patrol recovery operation.

Footage shows the vehicle being slowly pulled across the roadway while still resting on its side in the Truckee area.

The SUV’s wheels and undercarriage remain visible as it slides along the pavement under controlled towing by the patrol unit.

Emergency lights from both the patrol and tow vehicles flash as crews manage traffic around the scene in rainy, overcast conditions.

Authorities said the vehicle lost traction on slick roads before overturning in the slow lane.

The driver involved walked away with only minor injuries.

Officials described the road conditions as slippery and unforgiving, warning that wet pavement can quickly lead to loss of control.

The Jeep was eventually cleared from the roadway, allowing traffic to resume after the recovery was completed.

Earlier in the evening, conditions had already become slick in the area, contributing to the incident.

Authorities also noted that rain and possibly snow were expected on Monday, with chain control possible in the region.

Drivers were urged to reduce speed, increase following distance, and adjust to changing conditions.
