Almeria, Spain – During search operations in the area affected by the Los Gallardos wildfire, Guardia Civil officers located a dog trapped among iron bars and branches.

Video shows officers working carefully through ash-covered debris and twisted metal fencing in a burned area.

The white dog was found trapped among branches, wire and ruins inside a heavily damaged property.

Officers cleared away the obstacles, gently approached the animal, attached a leash and reassured it before carrying the rescued dog to safety.

The animal was successfully freed and is now safe.

The Los Gallardos wildfire has killed at least 12 people and burned thousands of hectares as recovery and search operations continue in the affected area.
