Towering Lava Fountains And Flows Light Up Kilauea Crater In Hawaii

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii, United States – A timelapse video captured episode 50 of lava fountaining in Halemaumau at the summit of Kilauea.

The lava fountaining episode lasted for about seven hours on June 27, 2026. The footage was recorded by the B1cam, located on the southern rim of the crater in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The timelapse shows the lava fountain from the north vent in the background, while active lava flows move across the crater floor in the foreground.
