Enid, Oklahoma, USA – Video filmed by X user Chris Berry captures a powerful tornado tearing through Enid, as described in the caption simply stating, “Enid!”

The shaky handheld footage, recorded from a residential or roadside location, shows a large, dark, wedge-shaped funnel cloud rotating violently under stormy skies. Debris spins at its base as the tornado moves across the landscape, striking homes, trees, and infrastructure while lightning flashes and rain wraps around the storm.

The camera pans unsteadily to follow the tornado’s path as it grows imposing over the area, showing its destructive movement through the city.

The footage documents the significant tornado that hit Enid late on April 23, 2026, continuing into early April 24. The twister stayed on the ground for more than 30 minutes during a broader severe weather outbreak across northern Oklahoma.

It caused major damage to homes, especially in areas such as Gray Ridge Estates, affected locations near Vance Air Force Base, forced road closures, and left around a dozen people with minor injuries. Search and rescue efforts continued into the following day, with no fatalities reported.

The event was part of a multi-tornado outbreak that led to a rare tornado emergency being issued by the National Weather Service.
