Newburgh, Indiana, USA – Video filmed by X user Walker Beck captures a large rotating funnel cloud descending from a powerful storm system east of Newburgh.

The footage, shot from a grassy area looking toward city lights in the distance, shows a well-defined dark tornado or funnel cloud moving across the horizon amid heavy rain and turbulent storm clouds.

Lightning flashes intermittently illuminate the scene as the vortex appears to touch or come very close to the ground.

The storm caused significant damage in the Newburgh area on June 21, including structural impacts at apartment complexes such as Park Place and Bell Pointe, prompting evacuations and emergency responses.

Local authorities and the National Weather Service confirmed tornado activity in the region.
