Summit County, UT – A kitten was rescued earlier this week after motorists stopped along Interstate 80 to help the animal as it attempted to cross the freeway.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Trooper Adams safely captured the kitten after responding to the scene.

The rescue took place with assistance from passing motorists who stopped to help the animal along the busy interstate.

Officials said the kitten was later adopted by a Summit County emergency dispatcher, giving the young feline a new home following the ordeal.
