New York City – On April 5, X user NewYorkCityKopp published a video of protests in New York City against Trump. He said: “Clips from today’s protest. New York City.” The footage showed thousands marching peacefully.

The protest was part of the national “Hands Off!” movement against Trump administration actions. It started in Bryant Park, moved along Fifth Avenue, and ended at Madison Square Park. Thousands joined, shutting down parts of Midtown Manhattan.

The demonstration followed Trump’s tariff announcement, which caused Wall Street losses and fears of a trade war. Organizers said protests happened in every state, including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as a national day of action.
