Caraballeda, La Guaira, Venezuela – Rescue teams, including units supported by El Salvador, have successfully pulled a survivor alive from the rubble in Caraballeda days after the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24.

The earthquakes, measuring magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5, caused more than 100 building collapses in La Guaira and left widespread destruction across the northern region.

The rescue came after days of ongoing operations in the devastated area, where teams continued searching through collapsed structures for survivors.

Officials confirmed the successful extraction of the survivor alive, marking another life saved during the international rescue effort in the region.

The operation adds to a growing number of rescues carried out amid continued search efforts and a rising death toll following the disaster.

A message shared during the rescue stated, “We have rescued Camila! Thank God for using us in this way. Strength Venezuela.”
