Pueblo, Colorado, United States – Video shows a large Super Scooper firefighting aircraft skimming low over Pueblo Reservoir, scooping a massive load of water in its belly tanks.
The amphibious plane flies just above the choppy lake, spray kicking up behind it as it accelerates and climbs, preparing to drop water on the nearby 24 Fire.
The footage also captures a tanker aircraft releasing a bright red fire retardant over the wildfire, highlighting the coordinated aerial efforts to support ground crews fighting the flames.
Recorded by a Pueblo Emergency Manager on March 21, 2026, the video shows the aircraft operating under clear daylight skies with distant hills in the background. The planes play a key role in containing active hot spots and assisting crews on the ground.
No injuries or major structural threats were reported in connection with the fire at the time of the recording.
