Huelva, Spain – Dramatic aerial video shows aircraft from the 43 Grupo de Fuerzas Aéreas of the Spanish Air Force conducting firefighting operations over the Niebla wildfire in Huelva province, Andalusia.
Filmed from near a yellow-and-red Canadair amphibious firefighting aircraft, the footage captures its spinning propeller, yellow fuselage section and red-painted tail in the foreground as it flies over densely forested green hills and ridges beneath a clear blue sky.
A large, thick plume of brownish-gray smoke rises from the active fire on the slopes below, filling much of the background as the aircraft maneuvers over the terrain.
The Niebla wildfire started in early August 2026. By mid-August, it had affected a perimeter exceeding 20,000–25,000 hectares, with hundreds of residents evacuated and extensive ground and air resources deployed.
