Navaluenga / Burgohondo area, Ávila, Spain – The Fifth Intervention Battalion of the UME is carrying out defensive operations against the Burgohondo wildfire, known as IFBurgohondo, as the blaze threatens nearby populations.

Footage shows UME firefighters in red protective gear moving across dry, rocky terrain covered by heavy smoke. Crews use high-pressure water streams from hoses to attack intense flames burning through brush and trees on the hillsides.

Multiple personnel work along the fire line, moving equipment and fighting the advancing flames near Navaluenga.

The wildfire prompted evacuations and pre-alerts in the region as crews continued efforts to contain the fire.
