Cape Canaveral, United States – SpaceX launched its 1,000th Starlink satellite so far in 2026 from Florida’s Space Coast before dawn on Tuesday, April 14.
The Falcon 9 lifted off at 5:33 a.m. from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. After ascending toward the northeast, the rocket deployed 29 Starlink broadband satellites into low-Earth orbit.
Attention now turns to the next planned mission at the Cape, where a Blue Origin New Glenn rocket is expected to carry AST SpaceMobile’s next-generation Block 2 BlueBird satellite into low-Earth orbit.
According to a Federal Aviation Administration operations plan advisory, the primary launch window opens from 6:45 a.m. to 12:19 p.m. on Friday. Blue Origin has not yet issued an official announcement. The rocket is expected to lift off from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
