Eastover, South Carolina – U.S. Army Soldiers from the South Carolina National Guard’s 1-111th General Support Aviation Battalion, 59th Aviation Troop Command, deployed on March 28, 2025. They took off from McEntire Joint National Guard Base with two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

Greenville, South Carolina – The team joined forces with two CH-47 Chinook helicopters from the 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion, 59th Aviation Troop Command. This unit is based at Donaldson Center in Greenville. Together, they tackled the Table Rock Complex Wildfires.

Table Rock Mountain – The helicopters used buckets to scoop water from Atagahi Lake. They dropped it on the north side of Table Rock Mountain. This effort aimed to suppress the spreading wildfires.

South Carolina – The South Carolina National Guard is working closely with state and local agencies. Their joint mission focuses on controlling the fires and protecting the region.
