Mora, Toledo, Spain – A 30-year-old man was arrested by the Civil Guard for serious family violence after allegedly punching his 70-year-old father at the terrace of a bar in Mora.
The incident happened on June 30, when officers responded to a report of a possible assault near a local bar.
Upon arrival, officers found the 70-year-old man unconscious on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood. The victim’s son was identified nearby as the alleged attacker and was arrested.
The father suffered serious head injuries and was taken immediately to the University Hospital of Toledo.
After appearing before a judge, the man was released with a strict restraining order preventing contact with his parents and the family home.
The following day, he allegedly returned to the residence, broke the entrance door while making direct death threats against his mother, and was arrested again after fleeing on foot.
During the second arrest, he showed active resistance and aggression toward officers, using punches and kicks against them.
He was later placed in provisional prison custody without bail.
