Skier Rescued After Serious Mountain Fall In Spanish Pyrenees

Benasque, Spain – Video filmed by X user Guardia Civil shows a mountain rescue operation carried out by GREIM (Grupo de Rescate de Montaña) on Pico Aneto in Benasque, Huesca, in the Spanish Pyrenees.

The footage shows rescue teams assisting an injured skier who had fallen on rocky terrain during a descent. The skier suffered a fractured tibia along with multiple bruises.

Rescuers provided medical assistance at the scene and prepared the injured man for evacuation from the mountain.

The skier was safely transported to the hospital in Barbastro.

In an official post dated April 13, 2026, the Guardia Civil stated that the mountain rescue unit assisted the skier after a fall on a rocky descent, confirming the injuries and hospital transfer.
