Shoplifter Smashes Through Shop Doors to Steal Easter Eggs

Nottingham, England – Nottinghamshire Police released footage of a shoplifter smashing through the doors of a shop to escape with £100 worth of Easter eggs.

The incident was part of a series of thefts between 27 February and 27 March. Shops in Radford were targeted, with Easter eggs, nappies, and washing pods stolen.

Damage was also caused to a Tesco Express on Alfreton Road during one of the incidents on 27 February.

Jordon King, of no fixed address, was later identified from CCTV images and arrested after a tip-off from the public.

King pleaded guilty to three counts of shop theft, resisting an officer, and causing criminal damage. He was sentenced to eight weeks in jail and ordered to repay the cost of the stolen goods.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify a second offender involved in the criminal damage.
