Nashville, Tennessee – Nashville Fire Department crews rescued seven people from dangerous flash floodwaters during overnight severe storms on July 21-22, 2026.

Nighttime footage shows water rescue teams wearing red gear and helmets moving through deep, rushing floodwaters on a residential street. Firefighters used a small boat or flotation device near a partially submerged vehicle while working to help people trapped by the rising water.

The severe storms caused multiple water rescues as crews responded to hazardous flooding conditions. Emergency lights illuminated the flooded streets as firefighters worked through the water.

Officials continue to warn the public about the dangers of flooded roads: “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”
