Sacramento, United States – On May 6, officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a person leaning over the railing of a freeway overpass near Northgate Blvd and Interstate 80.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a juvenile hanging from the guardrail. They were able to safely pull her back to safety.

The department thanked community members for reporting the urgent situation, as well as dispatchers and officers whose rapid response helped prevent a tragedy.
