Robot Dog SIRA Meets Real Dog In Adorable First Encounter

Madrid, Spain – The Policía Nacional shared footage of their advanced robot dog SIRA meeting a real dog for the first time ahead of its public debut at SICUR 2026.

The sleek black-and-yellow quadruped walked confidently on mechanical legs, approaching a German Shepherd standing on the floor. The real dog wagged its tail excitedly, sniffing SIRA’s head and face sensors with curiosity.

SIRA stayed still at first, then made a small head movement, almost like a friendly greeting. The dog barked playfully and continued interacting, clearly fascinated by its robotic counterpart. The short clip captured the interaction naturally, with only the sounds of the dogs and the handler in the background.

The demonstration highlights SIRA’s agility and responsiveness while showing a charming first encounter with a real dog. The robot will make its official debut at 11:00 on February 26 at IFEMA Madrid.

The footage, filmed by Policía Nacional, has been celebrated for blending high-tech innovation with a wholesome and adorable dog interaction, showcasing the creativity and capabilities of Spain’s police technology.
