Omaha, USA – On Feb 25, Omaha Police were dispatched to 67th & Pacific St. after an accident where the roadway suddenly gave way.

The collapse occurred just east of the intersection, sending two vehicles into a sinkhole.

Before emergency crews arrived, bystanders quickly intervened. They helped the drivers out of their vehicles and moved them to safety. Others controlled traffic in the area and urged people to step back from the scene.

Authorities extended their thanks to those who acted without hesitation. Their swift response assisted fellow residents during the emergency.

Chief Todd Schmaderer said he is “always impressed by Omaha citizens helping each other out.” Officials expressed appreciation for neighbors who took immediate action to help in the situation.
