Algimia de Almonacid, Spain – Video filmed by X user Bombers Dipcas shows a complex rescue operation carried out by Castellón Provincial Firefighters to extract an injured man from inside the narrow Cueva Estuco in Castellón on May 31, 2026.
The footage shows firefighters from the URM (Urban Rescue and Mountain) unit and the Alto Palancia fire station working inside the tight cave system to reach the casualty.
The man had fallen around 10–15 metres into a very narrow passage, where the exit to the open air measured only a few centimetres wide.
After several hours of careful work inside the cave, rescuers reached the injured man and managed to bring him out safely.
Once outside, he was lifted from the area using a crane and a high-capacity rescue basket provided by GVA112.
He was then transferred by ambulance to medical services for further attention. The man sustained injuries to one foot.
The operation was carried out by Castellón Provincial Firefighters and documented as a technically demanding cave rescue that concluded successfully without serious complications.
