Dibba Al-Fujairah, United Arab Emirates – Torrential rains continue to batter Dibba Al-Fujairah and surrounding areas in the eastern UAE, creating challenging conditions for residents and motorists.
Heavy downpours have been recorded across coastal and inland regions, with rainwater flowing into valleys and low-lying areas, raising concerns about potential flooding. Authorities have issued advisories urging caution on roads and in flood-prone zones.
Meteorologists report that a low-pressure system moving across the country is driving the persistent rainfall. The National Centre of Meteorology warns that unstable weather and further downpours are expected to persist through March 28, prolonging the wet conditions.
Despite the typical arid climate of the UAE, residents have witnessed streets and open areas turning into temporary waterways, highlighting the dramatic impact of this intense weather system on the region.
