Norman, Oklahoma – Chaos erupted at the Lloyd Noble Center on February 14, 2026, when a popcorn machine suddenly burst into flames during the Oklahoma Sooners men’s basketball game against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Video filmed from the stands shows bright orange flames shooting from the upper concourse concession area. Thick, dark smoke quickly filled the section, spreading toward the ceiling and nearby seating. Fans nearby scrambled, some backing away while others recorded the scene on their phones.

The fire briefly halted play as smoke drifted toward court level. Arena staff rushed in, and sprinklers activated, bringing the blaze under control. No injuries were reported.
