Fort Worth, Texas, USA – A Fort Worth Police officer entered the water to rescue a missing child after a search near Dream Park escalated into a critical emergency near the shoreline.
On June 12, 2026, at around 12:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a missing child and began searching the area around the park.
During the search, one officer noticed something yellow sticking up from weeds near the water. Moving closer, they discovered the child partially submerged along the shoreline.
As officers approached, the child appeared disoriented and moved farther into the water, at times going under the surface. One officer immediately entered the water and brought the child safely to shore before the situation worsened.
The child was evaluated as a precaution by the Fort Worth Fire Department and was confirmed to be safe.
