Chatham County, United States – A rapid emergency response unfolded during a weekend apartment fire after a mother dropped her children from a third-story window to escape the flames.
Police officers caught the children as they were dropped from the burning apartment, while the mother acted quickly to get them out of the fire.
Officer Thomas Velte later reassured the mother, saying: “Your kids are fine. I got your kids.”
The rescue involved Officer Brandon Lowe, B-Watch officers, and the Chatham County Fire Department, whose actions were recorded on body-worn cameras.
