Phoenix Officers Pull Exhausted Dog From Dangerous Canal In Dramatic Rescue

Phoenix, Arizona – Video filmed by Phoenix Police Department shows officers responding to a distressed dog trapped in the flowing waters of a concrete canal in the South Mountain area.

Bodycam footage captures the exhausted animal struggling against the current as officers lean over the canal edge, reaching toward the dog and offering encouragement. One officer can be heard calling out, “Buddy. Come on. Come on. There you go. Good boy.”

After several attempts, an officer successfully grabs the dog and lifts the soaked and weary pup from the water onto the canal bank.

The dog is then secured and comforted while officers assess its condition following the rescue from the hazardous waterway.
