Redmond, United States – Police officers carried out a rescue after five ducklings became trapped in a storm drain in Redmond, Washington.
On April 12 at around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 15100 block of Old Redmond Road after reports that the ducklings had fallen into the drain and were swimming beneath the grate.
When officers arrived, they found the ducklings stuck below the surface while their mother remained nearby, watching and vocalizing as she stayed close to the scene.
The officers carefully worked to lift all five ducklings out of the storm drain.
After the rescue, the ducklings were safely reunited with their mother in a nearby yard.
There were no injuries and no citations issued.
