NYPD Rescues Eight Passengers After Seaplane Emergency Landing In New York

New York, New York – Video filmed by X user NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch shows a rescue operation after a seaplane made an emergency landing in the East River.

The white and blue seaplane, registration N726SH, is seen floating in the water near the Manhattan shoreline.

Officers approached in a police boat, secured the scene, and assisted the eight passengers as they carefully boarded the rescue vessel.

Some passengers were wearing life vests as officers helped steady them and safely transferred everyone from the seaplane amid the choppy water and city skyline.

The NYPD quickly brought the passengers to safety following the emergency landing.

No serious injuries were reported.

The incident highlights the NYPD’s emergency response capabilities on the water.
