NYPD Officers Rescue Eleven Ducklings From Storm Drain At Police Academy

New York City, USA – Video filmed by X user NYPD NEWS shows officers at the Police Academy in New York City carrying out a rescue operation to save 11 ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain.

Officers are seen lifting a heavy metal grate to access the drain and carefully reaching inside to retrieve the trapped ducklings one at a time.

Each duckling is gently removed and handled with care throughout the operation.

After being pulled from the drain, the ducklings are safely reunited with their mother, who was waiting nearby on the surface.

The footage shows officers working patiently to ensure all the baby ducks are recovered without harm.

The official NYPD account posted the video with a message stating: “The NYPD protects and serves all New Yorkers, even those with beaks! On Saturday, officers helped save 11 ducklings from a storm drain at the Police Academy. All baby ducks were reunited with their mother. Job well done by our crew at the Academy!”
