Notorious Career Criminals Rob Bank And Steal 154,000 Euros At Gunpoint In Spain

Caceres, Spain – Two seasoned criminals with long criminal histories carried out a violent bank robbery in Caceres on January 16, 2026, seizing 154,000 euros at gunpoint.

During the 25-minute ordeal, one of the suspects forced a female employee to open the bank’s safe by making her enter security codes. Meanwhile, the other suspect struck a male employee on the head with the butt of his pistol, instructing him not to look up or move.

After securing the cash in a backpack and briefcase taken from the bank, the suspects restrained two employees with plastic ties and locked them in a bathroom before fleeing the scene.

Investigators traced the robbers’ movements, discovering that three days earlier they had traveled from Madrid disguised as construction workers to avoid suspicion. Authorities identified both men as habitual offenders, primarily active in Madrid but with no prior crimes in Caceres.

In a coordinated operation, officers carried out four searches in Madrid, Arroyomolinos, Fuenlabrada, and Camarenilla, recovering evidence, a getaway vehicle, and 2,450 euros hidden in a coat.

Both men were arrested and placed in provisional prison pending further judicial proceedings. Authorities continue investigating potential links to other crimes and are working to recover the remaining stolen funds.
