Termoli (CB), Italy – Emergency operations by firefighters in the province of Campobasso have continued since yesterday, particularly in the Termoli area. Following the overflow of the Sinarca river, the rescue of a man whose car had been struck by the surge of water was completed in the early hours of the night.

After a difficult search along the riverbank using inflatable boats, river rescue teams managed to locate the driver.

Due to the inability to reach him safely because of the force of the river, support was requested from an Italian Air Force helicopter equipped for night operations.
