East Rutherford, New Jersey – An X user yukaness filmed video showing the multi-level shopping atrium of American Dream Mall under reduced lighting after a localized power outage affected the complex on the afternoon of August 3, 2026.

The footage shows shoppers standing and walking along glass-railed walkways and lower floors near escalators. Storefronts, including Lululemon, are visible as people move through the space, with some pushing strollers and one person carrying a small dog in a pet carrier.

The outage affected parts of the shopping and entertainment complex. While the video captures the retail atrium area, the outage also affected amusement rides, which were safely evacuated.

PSE&G attributed the issue to internal mall electrical equipment. Power was fully restored by the next morning.
