Beulah, Colorado – Heavy rain triggered muddy floodwaters and debris flows across roads and low-lying areas in the Beulah Valley, sending ash-filled water, rocks, and burned material across the landscape.

The video shows fast-moving water rushing through areas affected by the Aspen Acres burn scar. Roadways are partially submerged or blocked as debris moves down from surrounding hillsides.

Heavy rain on July 29, 2026, caused renewed flash flooding and debris flows across the burn scar, where the wildfire earlier in the summer left the area vulnerable to rapid runoff.

Multiple roads, including sections near North Creek and Highway 78, were closed because of mud and debris.

“Heavy rain in Beulah on the Aspen Acres burn scar once again brings flooding to the area. Multiple road closures in place due to mud and debris. Do not try to drive through moving or standing water.”

Officials warned residents not to drive through floodwaters as agencies responded to the ongoing post-fire flooding threat.
