Bétera, Spain – A dramatic nighttime video filmed by X user Bombers Consorci VLC shows firefighters carrying out a complex rope rescue in a rural area of Bétera after a motorcycle accident on April 30, 2026.
The footage captures Valencia Provincial Firefighters working in darkness to reach an injured motorcyclist who had fallen into a ravine approximately 20 meters deep. Using headlamps and spotlights, the team operated in steep, rocky terrain as they secured the casualty.
Rescuers used a rope system combined with a rescue stretcher to carefully lift the immobilized rider from the ravine. The operation shows coordinated efforts both at the edge of the slope and below, as the patient was gradually hoisted upward.
The stretcher, carrying the injured motorcyclist, was steadily raised along the rugged embankment while firefighters maintained control of the rope system throughout the extraction.
The incident was described as a rapid response by provincial firefighters following the nighttime accident in the rural area.
