Iwakuni, Japan – On May 4, 2025, aircraft from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force performed aerial demonstrations during the JMSDF and MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day.

The event featured flyovers and aerobatic displays, including the CVW-5 flyover, an F-35B demonstration, and a performance by the stunt plane Whiskey Papa.

Whiskey Papa, an Extra EA 300L aircraft flown by Masahiro Utsumi, showcased precision aerobatics.

The annual Friendship Day event aims to strengthen ties with the local community and promote cultural exchange between the U.S. and Japan.
