Mayon Volcano, Albay, Philippines – Sped-up footage filmed by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology Quick Response Team captured lava effusion and a collapse-fed pyroclastic density current from the summit crater of Mayon Volcano at 5:50 p.m. on June 28, 2026.

The effusive eruption at Mayon Volcano has now continued for 175 consecutive days.

The ongoing activity is producing incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents, locally known as “uson,” and rockfalls.

Alert Level 3 remains in effect at the volcano as the eruption continues.

Authorities said entry into the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone remains prohibited.
