Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain – The La Mierla Fire has triggered major evacuations in the villages of Bustares, Villares de Jadraque, and Veguillas, while residents of Hiendelaencina remain under confinement.

The wildfire is at Level 2 emergency status as helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft drop water and fire retardant over active fire lines. Ground crews and heavy equipment are also working to contain the blaze.

A total of 25 aerial resources, 48 ground vehicles, and 349 personnel have been deployed to the firefighting operation.

National and regional agencies are assisting with the response as emergency operations continue. Residents in the affected area are urged to follow official alerts.
